Chelsea Clinton, for whose sake Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump decided not to bring up Bill Clinton’s affairs during Monday night’s presidential debate, repaid Trump for the gallantry by denouncing him.

Trump said he had an “extremely rough” response ready for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, but did not use it.

“When she hit me at the end with the women, I was going to hit her with her husband’s women, and I decided I shouldn’t do it because (her) daughter was in the room,” Trump said Tuesday on Fox and Friends.

“I didn’t feel comfortable doing it. I think I did the right thing. It’s not worth a point,” he said.

In a post-debate interview published Tuesday, Cosmopolitan asked Chelsea Clinton for her reaction to Trump’s comments.

“My reaction to that is just what my reaction has been kind of every time Trump has gone after my mom or my family, which is that it’s a distraction from his inability to talk about what’s actually at stake in this election and to offer concrete, comprehensive proposals,” she said.

“And candidly, I don’t remember a time in my life when my parents and my family weren’t being attacked, and so it just sort of seems to be in that tradition, unfortunately,” she continued.

Clinton had the last word on the subject until Juanita Broaddrick fired off a series of tweets reminding Chelsea Clinton that not everyone sees the Clintons as they see themselves.

Broaddrick said she was raped by Bill Clinton in 1978, and has recounted to the American Mirror her interaction with Hillary Clinton not long after.

Broaddrick said Clinton walked over and “stood there and looked at me and said, ‘I just want you to know how happy we are for all the things that you do for Bill in this campaign.’ And I just sort of nodded and was going to turn away.”

“And she grabbed a hold of my arm and my hand at the same time and she pulls me into her and this smile fades to this very harsh expression, and she said, ‘Do you understand — everything you do.’

“And I could have fainted, I mean I get cold chills now just remembering it. And I took my hand from hers and I left,” Broaddrick said.

Broaddrick, who did not reveal the incident for years, said Hillary Clinton was “very cold. Even when she came over to greet me there was a coldness. She had a smile on her face, but it was very … It was so cold, but then the second expression was frightening. Here she is and she’s standing below me, looking up at me and saying these very frightening things.”

“All she did was let me know she knew and I better stay quiet. That’s the essence of what I got out of that,” she concluded.
